Role

  • Setup and administrate Linux, Apache, JBoss and Oracle servers
  • Maintain the enterprise server environment
  • Manage deployments and new releases
  • Implementing failure detection and recovery mechanisms for enterprise server environment
  • Provide hands-on support to project activities to ensure solutions are implemented per the architectures
  • Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics for Linux environments and enterprise server environments

Skills

  • Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Apache, JBoss and Oracle servers installation, configuration and administration
  • Support for PHP, MySQL, Apache web development, installations, configuration and administration
  • Skills in scripting languages (bash, python, perl)
  • Administration, tuning, replication and implementing backup strategies for commercial and open source databases
  • High availability clustering of levels of Operating System, Application server, and web server
  • Proficient in IT security principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, client services skills
  • Outstanding verbal, written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, or equivalent discipline
  • 2+ years experience in the industry
  • Certifications of OCA, RHCT, RHCE or RHCA would be an added advantage
